THE WATERFALL OF GRACE

EXODUS 4:2–3 So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.” And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.  God wants to take the natural things in your life and make them supernaturally blessed. He does this by asking you to give Him what you already have in the natural, and He will do the supernatural. That is why the Lord told Moses to cast his rod on the ground. And when Moses cast his rod on the ground, which represents him giving the rod to the Lord, that same rod became the rod of God. With that rod, the Red Sea was opened. (Exodus 14:16) And when that rod was used to hit a rock, water flowed out of the rock. (Exodus 17:5–6) It was no longer a natural rod, but the supernatural rod of God! EPHESIANS 6:17 NKJ 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; A soldier needs a weapon. In Bible days a sword was the most effective weapon available. Today we have machine guns and other sophisticated weapons. But there is no weapon more powerful than the one God has provided for His children: the Word of God. To help you grasp this better it may help to remember that this whole universe came into existence by God releasing words. To realize how much power is in God's Words, you have to understand how much power God has. All the power of God is behind His Word. Once He has spoken something, God never changes His mind but causes His Word to be fulfilled. So don't lightly esteem the Word of God and think it is not a powerful weapon. GENESIS 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”  When God made man, He gave man dominion over everything on earth. To have an idea of the kind of dominion that man would have had had he not sinned, let’s look at the perfect Man, Jesus Christ. When Jesus wanted to pay the temple tax, He only needed to command a fish to bring the money to Him. (Matthew 17:24–27) When He wanted to feed a multitude, He only needed to multiply five loaves and two fish in His hands. (Mark 6:34–44) When a storm threatened the lives of His disciples, He only had to speak to the storm and there was perfect calm. PHILIPPIANS 2:10 …at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,  Whatever is troubling you, if it has a name, it must bow to the name of Jesus! Cancer must bow to the name of Jesus. Poverty must bow. Shame must bow. The Bible tells us that God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee must bow!  That is exactly what happened when a severely demon-possessed man saw Jesus. The demons in him—called Legion for there were many of them—not only begged Jesus not to torment them, but they also fled when Jesus commanded them to go. The man was left whole, healed and in his right mind. (Luke 8:26–35) My late father was similarly delivered from his drinking addiction of many years. LUKE 19:13,15 ESV 13 Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, 'Engage in business until I come.' 15 When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business. Your working life is supposed to be for more than just meeting your needs. Your work is an avenue God can use to bless people in many ways. You should use all that you have been given: your influence, your contacts, your profits, to bless people and turn them toward God. Many people won't listen to a pastor or TV preacher, but they will listen to someone they know and contact in daily life. You don't have to be a pastor or a priest to walk with God and be used by Him.  Think of Abraham, David, Moses, and Daniel. Not one of them was a preacher or a priest. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:18 NKJ  while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Many Christians are afraid of using their imagination, equating it with evil. But God surely had a reason to make mankind with an imagination. Once, as I was thinking about this, the question came to me, "Why did God create man with an imagination?" I do believe He is the Creator, don't you? And God did make man with an imagination.  When I asked God if there was any scriptural support for using our imagination, it occurred to me to look in Hebrews 11.
