Some Truths About Money

Money is not true riches. LUKE 16:11 ESV 11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?

Money cannot buy lasting happiness and fulfillment. If money guaranteed happiness all rich people would be happy -- but they're not. Money will never love you back. Money is only a tool to use on earth.

LUKE 12:15 ESV 15 And he said to them, "Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." * You cannot serve money and God. LUKE 16:13 NLT 13 "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." You can serve God and have money. But you cannot serve two masters at the same time. Only one can ultimately control you. * Loving money leads to evil.

1 TIMOTHY 6:10 NKJ 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. * Where your money is, there your heart will be also (Luke 12:34). So if you want to know where your heart is, just look at what you do with your money. * God is not against His people being rich. But God is against us being covetous, proud, and selfish.

1 TIMOTHY 6:17 ESV 17 As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:11  God will make you rich enough so that you can always be generous. Your generosity will produce thanksgiving to God because of us.

SAY THIS: Thank You Lord for teaching me truth about money.

welcome to my blog

Oh the waterfall of cleansing Grace! Welcome to my Grace blog.  I hope to both share and start a dialogue about Jesus Christ and how his life, relationships and teaching have a practical working value in our everyday lives. To go beyond our belief of Jesus... and into our belief in Jesus. I hope we can learn more about how the finished work of Christ on the cross empowers his work in us in our daily lives. I hope we can grow in His Grace and Wisdom! The name came from a Joseph Prince story in his book  "Destined to Reign"...here's the story: Prince tells the story of a young boy who found a rock out in the woods. Though it looked rough at first, he rinsed it in the small waterfall of a nearby stream. Turns out, the rock was marbly, smooth, and full of color. Not wanting to lose the rock, and afraid someone would take it from him if he took it home, he buried it back in the dirt in a tucked away place before he went home for the night. There, he left it. The ne...

... that saved a wretch like me.

my story is not much different from any other alcoholic or drug addict who is in recovery. we sought out a higher power because our Lives be came on manageable. through much self examination we came to understand our defects in character... we reached out to others for fellowship and mentoring. I, as many have, came to believe in Jesus as my higher power and five years ago I accepted Christ... I got into a church and started reading my Bible. I slowly developed a thirst for knowledge of God in His Word. my grandmother has been sending Christian books for years and I just shelved them, so I already had a decent size Christian library. I also be came a big watcher of Christian television. I tried out several different churches... looking for a place I could feel at home in. having had a big interest in philosophy and world religions in college, I had sampled from the religion buffet. I guess you could say I became ravenous with my new found faith. I read and listen to anything I could ge...

Giving Money Is One Way To Show Honor

PROVERBS 3:9-10 NKJ 9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Giving money is not the only way to show honor, but it is one way. The word translated honor means to value. Honoring someone is a way of showing them, and others, that they are valuable to you. Scripture connects giving of money with honor. Specifically included are God, your parents, those who preach or teach the Word of God, and widows.  MATTHEW 15:4-6 NLT 4 For instance, God says, `Honor your father and mother,' and `Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.'" 5 But you say, `You don't need to honor your parents by caring for their needs if you give the money to God instead.' 6 And so, by your own tradition, you nullify the direct commandment of God.  1 TIMOTHY 5:17-18 NKJ 17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double hono...
