Grace And Peace Multiplied To You

2 Peter 1:2–3 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,  Imagine if God were to visit you in a dream tonight and ask you what He could do for you. What would you say to Him? Would you ask Him to give you a deeper knowledge of Jesus our Lord? God’s Word tells us that when you receive revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, it will cause grace and peace to be multiplied in your life. It will cause you to receive all things that pertain to life and godliness.  What is grace? It is the unmerited, unearned and undeserved favor of God shown to us. There is nothing we can do to earn God’s grace. But the more we learn of the beauty and love of our Lord Jesus, the more we see His perfect work on the cross, and the more we position ourselves to receive a multiplication of God’s grace in our lives. The v

You Are Not Under The Law

ROMANS 7:4 NJB  In the same way you, my brothers, through the body of Christ have become dead to the Law and so you are able to belong to someone else, that is, to him who was raised from the dead to make us live fruitfully for God. You are not under the (Old Covenant) Law as a way of being right with God. Just as a wife whose husband has died is no longer in that marriage after her husband dies, we are no longer in a relationship with the Law for the purpose of being right with God.  ROMANS 7:1-2 NLT 1 Now, dear brothers and sisters -- you who are familiar with the law -- don't you know that the law applies only while a person is living? 2 For example, when a woman marries, the law binds her to her husband as long as he is alive. But if he dies, the laws of marriage no longer apply to her. The Law is still good. For example, it is still wrong to steal and murder. And it is still right to worship God. But we no longer do those things in order to be right with God. Ins

See The Abundance Within You

Luke 17:21 For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”  When you were younger, were you often scolded for not finishing all your food or leaving the lights and fan on when you left your room? Were you constantly reminded that there are people starving in the world, that electricity costs a lot of money and that money doesn't grow on trees? Now, do you find yourself telling your child the same things?  We are naturally conscious of lack, but Jesus isn't. Even in the midst of lack, He was always conscious of abundance. Remember the little boy’s five loaves and two fish? What did Jesus do when these were placed in His hands? Did He say, “What do you expect Me to do with so little?” No, His eyes were not on the natural, the visible, the lack. His eyes were on the kingdom of God where there is always abundance. So in His hands, the little boy’s lunch was multiplied, and 5,000 men, not counting women and children, were fed that day! (John 6:1–13) God doesn't want yo

God’s Angels Are Watching Over You

Psalm 91:10–11 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.  Don’t you just sense your Father’s love in these words? Like a mother hen that spreads her wings over her chicks to protect them, God will “cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge”. (Psalm 91:4) So don’t be fearful of accidents, terrorist attacks, diseases or tsunamis because your heavenly Father loves you and watches over you.  One of the ways He does this is with His angels. God has declared that no evil, plague or accident will befall you or even come near your dwelling “for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways”. When He says “no”, He means “no-thing”! And if He tells His angels to “keep you in all your ways”, it means round-the-clock divine protection for you!  Let me share with you a true story. A Christian was flying his plane when he realized th

According To Your Faith

MATTHEW 9:29 NKJ Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you."  God responds to faith. Don't you appreciate people who have faith in you? Well, God appreciates people who have faith in Him. But His reason is not just selfish -- as ours may be. God knows His ways are right and bring blessing, while protecting people from harm. So, when we have faith in God, we will follow His instructions, and the world will be a better place. When everyone has faith in God, and follows His way of love, the world will be a perfect place. Many people don't understand God because they think He should respond to need, instead of responding to faith. God doesn't do that because it doesn't work. Meeting human need without them having faith in God brings no lasting benefit.  MATTHEW 8:13 NKJ  Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same

Accept God's Acceptance

God accepts you, because of what Jesus did as your substitute, and because He loves you. EPHESIANS 1:6   to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.  All barriers between you and God were broken down by Jesus Christ. God forgave you, and offers cleansing from all the sin you ever committed.  2 CORINTHIANS 5:18-21   All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. 20 We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

All The Promises Of God

2 CORINTHIANS 1:20   The yes to all of God's promises is in Christ, and through Christ we say yes to the glory of God. Although the entire Bible is a message to us today, not all of it is written directly to us. The New Testament epistles are written directly to us who are in the church, the Body of Christ, which includes all believers. We do need to rightly divide the Bible, but since all the promises of God are yes in Christ -- they find their fulfillment in Him -- we can take any promise of blessing in the entire Bible and appropriate it by faith.  God has blessed us with every blessing in Christ! EPHESIANS 1:3 NKJ  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Every promise in the Bible is not directed to us specifically. But, by faith in Jesus Christ, we can appropriate every blessing God has to offer. When we do receive the promised blessings of God's Word, it brings gl

Jesus Became Poor . . .

2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 NKJ  For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.  Most people know that Jesus became poor. They just don't know why. Some people may tell you this verse refers only to being made "spiritually rich." Don't fall for that. Look at the context and you will see it is discussing money. "Then why aren't Christians rich?" The main reason is because of a lack of teaching on this subject. Everything we receive from God must be received by faith. If we don't believe it, we won't receive it. (Jesus died so that everyone could be saved. However, until people hear the message and believe it, they continue lost in their sins. Yet the price has already been paid by Jesus for their freedom.)  Instead of teaching that prosperity is a blessing available to believers, most churches have taught the opposite -- that it was the w

‘Lord, I Cannot, But You Can!’

Philippians 2:13 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.  Have you ever tried to break a bad habit on your own? You probably found that when you tried to stop it by sheer willpower, you saw improvement for a while, and then bounced back to square one. Worse, you found yourself binging on the very thing that you were trying not to do. And your condition is worse than before you started your “I’m going to quit” program!  The changes were temporary because it was you doing it. A church member who had been a chain-smoker used to believe that with willpower, he could quit smoking. He would tell himself, “If there is a will, there is a way!” But he discovered that with willpower, he could stop smoking for a week or two, and then he would succumb to the pull of nicotine again. When he turned his life over to God and learnt about God’s grace, he told God, “I realize that I cannot stop smoking. I cannot, but You can break my habit, Lord.” And ev

You Are A Blessing Going Somewhere To Happen

Deuteronomy 28:10 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.  Today, we are called by the name of Christ—Christ-ians. Therefore, the blessing of Deuteronomy 28:10, which says, “Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord” is no longer just a promise but reality! The second part of the verse—“and they shall be afraid of you”—is also true for you. People will respect you. Your boss will favor you and even your competitors will esteem you highly. They know that there is something special about you because good things happen when you are around!  I experienced this blessing when I first started working. I worked in a small third-floor office which constantly smelled of salted fish because there was a salted fish stall on the ground floor. It was in that small, dingy office that I kept on confessing that I was blessed by the Lord, and I experienced divine favor with

Why Are There Delays?

JAMES 1:2-4 NIV 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  Why are prayers not all answered instantly? Why don't we always experience the blessings promised in the Bible immediately? If all results were instant, we could never walk in faith. Without faith, we could never please God. (Hebrews 11:6) If you always reaped the harvest of your deeds immediately, the incentive to do right and refrain from wrongdoing would only be selfish. No faith, or love for God, would be required. During delays we have opportunity to demonstrate whether we really love God, and trust Him, or not.  A delay is a test. Without testing, there could be no reward. God does not test us so that we can fail, but so that we can overcome. He believes we will make it with His help. We desire an insta

Be Anxious For Nothing

Philippians 4:6–7 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  When faced with a challenge or crisis, our tendency is to get all anxious about it. But God does not want us to react this way. He does not want us to be anxious about anything. Instead, whatever the problem is, He wants us to go to Him in prayer and supplication, telling Him what we need and thanking Him for the answer. When we do that, His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds from all worries, anxieties and fears.  “Pastor Prince, it is easy for you to say, ‘Be anxious for nothing.’ Try living with my husband for one day. Try disciplining that wayward teenager of mine. Look at the balance in my bank account! How can I not be anxious?” Hold it! I am not the one who said, “Be anxio
